There’s a day out with your name on it in Banbridge.

For arts and culture, head to the FE McWilliam Gallery, where you’ll discover a permanent display of the famed local sculptor’s work alongside touring exhibitions of Irish and international art. And if heading into town is next on your list, take a pitstop for refreshments at the gallery’s modern coffee shop.

Get out into the open air and admire the landscape with a leisurely stroll through Solitude Park, a walk along the River Bann, or a visit to the Crozier Statue and Old Town Hall. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can whizz along to the skate park.

Banbridge is a hive of sports action, with local cycling, hockey and rugby clubs, to name a few. It’s also home to Banbridge Leisure Centre with its cutting-edge equipment, pools and pitches. (Once you’re done, you can chill in the thermal health suite).

We couldn’t not mention Game of Thrones. Mega fans and GoT-curious, make sure to immerse yourselves in all things Westeros at the GoT studios.  Located at the series’ original filming location at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, the Game of Thrones Studio Tour will transport you to the heart of Westeros for brilliant imagery, captivating sets, props, costumes and behind-the-scenes secrets.

Let’s get started.
