As a buyer, car boot sales offer a treasure trove of unique finds at bargain prices. You can discover vintage clothing, antique furniture, collectibles, and much more. It’s like a treasure hunt where you never know what gems you might stumble upon. Bargaining is also a common practice at these events, so don’t be afraid to negotiate for a better deal.
To make the most of your car boot sale experience, here are a few tips. Arrive early if you want to snag the best deals, as the early bird catches the worm. Bring plenty of small change, as many sellers may not have the means to accept card payments. It’s also a good idea to bring your own bags or boxes to carry your purchases. Lastly, don’t forget to enjoy your experience.
When it comes to attending a car boot sale as a seller, it’s important to understand the vehicle categories and associated fees. If you plan on bringing a car, the cost is £6.00. For those with a car and trailer, the fee is £11.00. However, please note that vans with trailers are not permitted at these events. If you have a van, the fee is also £11.00. Examples of vehicles in the car category include up to 5-door saloon cars, small Jeeps under 14ft like the Audi Q3, and small vans like the Citroën Berlingo. Car and trailer category includes the same vehicles but with an attached car trailer. Vans, on the other hand, include Jeeps over 14ft such as the Range Rover, large people carriers, and Transit vans.
