The Lurgan Working Group which was established in 2023, is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, 9th December, at the Ashburn Hotel in Lurgan.
The meeting will commence at 5:00 PM, with registration opening at 4:45 PM. This event is an important opportunity for the town centre business community to come together, discuss the group’s activities over the past year, and outline future initiatives.
During the AGM, attendees will have the chance to hear updates on various projects and initiatives undertaken by the Lurgan Working Group.
Back in October 2024, Lurgan Working Group established ‘Lurgan Live’, a social media page aimed at promoting the town as a destination to live, shop, play and work. Follow Lurgan Live here
Under the Constitution, Lurgan Working Group dedicates itself to:
- The promotion of Lurgan as a centre for shopping, leisure, tourism and socialising.
- The promotion of the economic development, community development and regeneration of Lurgan.
- To engage with other agencies involved in the field of economic development, regeneration, community development and commercial improvement in Lurgan.
The meeting will also include the election of four Executive Committee members, providing a chance for individuals to get involved and make a difference in the community.
Currently Executive Committee positions are held Claire Geddis, Chairperson and Michelle Conlon Vice-Chairperson.
Nominations are currently open for two vacant positions of Secretary and Treasurer alongside the current positions held.
As the Lurgan Working Group continues to strive for positive change and growth within the area, this AGM is a key event for anyone interested in the Town Centre.
