In this beginners lino
print class visual artist Hazel Boland will guide you how to use various lino
cutting tools and techniques to sculpt and carve your own original lino design.
Using imagery of your choice or pictures supplied by the tutor to work from you
will learn to create depth and pattern for positive and negative space to
create maximum printing detail. You will roll your design with a selection of
printing inks, which will be transferred onto a small piece of plywood for your
own original artwork.

All art materials supplied,
however, participants should bring an apron or old shirt and any imagery of
choice to work from. (Inspiration could come from traditional holiday postcard
images, favourite places, landscapes or nature)
