YMCA Lurgan was established in 1986 and provides services from its purpose built premises which were opened in 2013.
It provides a range of general youth work programmes including drop-ins, leadership development, peace building work in schools in the wider Lurgan area as well as adventure activities like canoeing, indoor climbing and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. It also provides targeted programmes for disabled young people, young offenders and those at risk of offending. Lurgan YMCA has a strong tradition of creating opportunities for young people from different religious and political backgrounds to build relationships and work together.
It’s work is targeted at 11-25 yrs olds in: Personal & leadership Development, Special needs (learning & physical), Adventure education, Health & Diversity work.
