Tell us a bit about yourself and the business.
“My name is Geoff Chapman, and I opened Tatt-Man-Do’s tattoo studio in July 2006. I’ve always been into art and drawing.
“I’ve worked in many jobs, but I always wanted to do something artsy. I cover all styles and enjoy working with both black and grey, or colour.
“I like to put my own style on any design. Most people give me a rough idea of what they’re looking for and let me go from there. We do anything from small, simple designs to large-scale projects like back pieces or full sleeves.
“We also have Ben from Body Piercing Company here to take care of all our customers’ piercing needs.”
How did the business start?
“A few people before 2006 had mentioned tattooing to me, but I never thought I would end up doing it as a career – a really enjoyable one, at that! I took the leap and never looked back. Next year, I’ll have been in Banbridge for 20 years.”
Why is shopping local so important?
“I think we should always support local businesses. Supporting local businesses strengthens our communities by keeping money circulating within the local economy, creating jobs, and fostering a sense of connection and pride.
“These businesses often provide unique products and personalised services. By choosing local, we not only help entrepreneurs thrive, but we also invest in the long-term well-being and resilience of the places we call home.”
What do you love most about your town?
“Banbridge has a wide variety of different businesses covering everyone’s needs. It has always been a busy wee town and continues to grow and evolve every year. We are very proud to be located within such a thriving town centre.”
