Tell us a bit about yourself and the business.
“My name is Caroline Hoy, and I’m the owner of Calini Kids, a children’s boutique in Banbridge. You can find us in the heart of Banbridge at Jinglers Court.
“We offer a beautifully curated collection of quality designer clothing, accessories, and gifts for babies and children up to age 13/14.”
How did the business start?
“I established Calini Kids in February 2009, and we’ve been serving families with style and care ever since. From the very beginning, my goal was to create a warm and welcoming boutique where parents could find beautiful pieces for their family and friends.
“It’s been an incredible journey watching the boutique grow and become a trusted destination for customers near and far.”
Why is shopping local so important?
“Shopping local often means customers receive a more personalised service and better quality goods. You also get a connection that you just don’t find in big chain stores. It’s a way to build community and keep the heart of the town vibrant and thriving.”
What do you love most about your town?
“I love that Banbridge is such a vibrant town full of fabulous independent businesses, each offering a fantastic variety. It’s refreshing to enjoy so many unique local shops without the presence of a lot of big multinational chains that can diminish a town’s distinctive character.”
