Tidy Banbridge, a proactive community group dedicated to keeping Banbridge clean and beautiful, is gearing up for another impactful event this Saturday in the town centre.

This Saturday morning (14th September) at 10am, Tidy Banbridge will be hosting a Litter Pick event, starting at the Church of Ireland Car Park. The event is open to everyone who wants to contribute to the cleanliness of the town.

If you have your own litter hand/pick, make sure to bring it along to help make a difference in our community.

Along the way you’ll be entertained by band Strings and Sings who will be there to provide musical motivation and set a cheerful tone for the clean-up efforts. Additionally, a charity collection will be held before the group of environmental busters head out to each pick location, emphasising the spirit of giving back to the community.

Speaking to UrbanABC Councillor Joy Ferguson and Chair of Tody Banbridge said; “If there’s a specific area in Banbridge that you believe needs attention, feel free to message Tidy Banbridge before the weekend so we can plan accordingly. Your input is valuable in making our town a cleaner and more pleasant place for everyone”

Tidy Banbridge has a history of successful initiatives aimed at beautifying Banbridge town. Just a few months ago, the group took on the task of tidying and planting the flower bed on Dromore Street. With support from local businesses like J McCourt Furniture Banbridge, Dalys Pharmacy, and WF Landscapes, the once neglected flower bed was transformed into a vibrant and welcoming space.

This upcoming Litter Pick event is another opportunity for the community to come together, make a positive impact, and continue the great work of Tidy Banbridge. Let’s join hands this Saturday to keep the town clean and beautiful for all to enjoy!
