The company’s global headquarters in Portadown is abuzz with construction activities aimed at extending the recently completed High Speed Weaving Building, capitalising on the triumph of the new looms developed by GTM, a key player in the Ulster Carpets Group.
Ulster Carpets has made waves with the announcement of doubling the size of the High Speed Weaving Building to cater to the growing need for their high-end carpets and rugs.
Managing Director Nick Coburn highlighted, “This additional capacity will enable us to meet the escalating demands from our global customers.
By April 2025, all new looms will be up and running, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history with the highest Axminster capacity ever achieved.
This expansion is a testament to Ulster Carpets’ long-term investment strategy aimed at revitalising and enhancing their manufacturing facilities, underscoring their unwavering commitment to UK-based production.
