Tell us a bit about yourself and the business.

“Street Dogs Street Kitchen is a family run takeaway and restaurant in the Portadown town centre serving up tasty food using high quality ingredients.

“We have 24 seater restaurant and offer table service for those who want to sit in, as well as a takeout and delivery service for those who want to relax at home and enjoy our food.”

“We were originally catering at festivals across Ireland and then COVID came around meaning we could no longer operate. In 2020 we decided to open our van to the public offering mainly deliveries across Portadown and surrounding areas and built up a large following on the area. So we took the leap and opened our shop at 60 Church Street in Portadown.”

Why is shopping local so important?

“We believe the High Street in all town centres is an important part of the town to keep alive and thrive. It offers people a place to shop, meet their friends and family and enjoy.

“Shopping Local helps to create jobs in the community and keep money circulating locally.”

What do you love most about your town?

“Portadown is a bustling vibrant town with a mix of all types of people.”
