The Master McGrath Festival, a cherished event in the local calendar, has officially been postponed.
Originally scheduled for May 23rd and 24th, 2025, the festival’s management has announced that it will now take place on the 22nd and 23rd of May, 2026.
In a statement regarding the postponement, a spokesperson for the festival said, “It is with deep regret that we announce the postponement of the Master McGrath Festival.
Our small, dedicated volunteer team, who share a passion for live music and community, have worked tirelessly to bring this event to life. However, unforeseen health concerns, funding constraints, and escalating production costs have made this year’s event unfeasible.”
The spokesperson further added, “While we have made significant efforts to resolve these issues, time was against us, leaving us no option but to reschedule the festival. We are deeply disappointed, just like our loyal attendees, but we believe this decision is necessary to secure the future of the festival.”
All tickets purchased for the 2025 event will be honoured for the new dates in 2026.
Ticket holders will soon receive communication regarding their options, which include retaining their tickets at no additional cost or opting for a full refund.
The festival organisers express their sincere regret for any inconvenience caused by this decision and appreciate the understanding and support of the community as they navigate these challenges.
