Exhibition Dates

The exhibitions will be open to the public from 25th January to 15th February 2025, allowing visitors to engage with the art and stories of these talented groups.

Veterans Modelling Group NI

The Veterans Modelling Group NI is a unique initiative led by veterans, aimed at enhancing health and well-being within the veterans’ community through military scale model-making workshops and peer-to-peer support groups.

These workshops are held weekly at Ely’s offices and provide a safe, judgment-free environment for veterans to connect, reflect, and create. Participants have reported significant benefits, including reduced social isolation and increased confidence, as they share experiences and build lasting bonds through creativity and camaraderie.

Ely Photography Group

On the other hand, the Ely Photography Group has conducted six-week mindfulness photography workshops facilitated by the skilled Catriona Corrigan of Divine Photography.

This program beautifully combines the art of photography with mental health awareness, allowing participants from the Ely Centre to explore the therapeutic benefits of photography. Through these sessions, they develop skills that help them reflect on daily life experiences, fostering confidence and reducing social isolation.

These workshops were made possible through generous funding from the Elevate programme, part of the Community Development and Health Network, which supports health and well-being initiatives through community development.

Join Millennium Court in celebrating the creativity and resilience of the veterans and community members from the Ely Centre who have participated in these remarkable initiatives. Don’t miss the opening event on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
