Aisling’s transformative journey from the legal realm in Belfast to the realm of reformer Pilates shows her unwavering passion and commitment to holistic well-being. Encountering reformer Pilates during her time in a law office sparked a profound interest that led her to a new career path. Her quest for a vocation that involved working closely with people resonated with the allure of physiotherapy, a field she had long desired to explore due to her affinity for healthcare.

Driven by this newfound passion, Aisling fearlessly took the leap, bidding farewell to her job in Belfast to pursue a degree in physiotherapy.

Speaking to UrbanABC Aisling recalled; “I was working in a law office in Belfast when I came across reformer Pilates and I was instantly hooked. Around the same time I was in search of a new career. I wanted to work with people and when I researched physiotherapy, I was surprised I had not considered it sooner as for years I had talked about wanting to work in health care. I quit my job, enrolled in a physio degree and was lucky enough to embark on reformer training in the first ever reformer studio in Northern Ireland”.

From the early hours of teaching classes at 7am before her shifts at City Hospital, Aisling’s commitment to her dual roles exemplified her unwavering work ethic and determination.

Embracing the shift towards direct interaction with individuals, Aisling discovered a deep-seated joy in connecting with others on a more personal level, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey.

“I found that I really enjoy working directly with people. It has taken me many years to get to where I am now and I’m incredibly proud of myself. I have learned to appreciate the hard work of those around you and never take a learning opportunity for granted, even if it is a difficult lesson”.

Aisling’s path to her current role has been a culmination of years of hard work and resilience. Through her experiences, she has cultivated a profound appreciation for the collaborative efforts of those around her, recognising the value of every learning opportunity, even those disguised as challenging lessons.

It’s clear that Aisling’s active lifestyle and passion for various activities are integral to her daily routine, incorporating runs into a daily routine to stay fit and embrace a healthy lifestyle.

“I like to stay busy and fit as many things into my day as I can. I’ll go for runs on my lunch break and at home when I have time. I also enjoy baking and cooking. I love music and enjoy going to concerts of all kinds of music”.
