Armagh City Hotel have an exciting opportunity to join the team. The popular City Centre hotel is now recruiting for Temporary/Seasonal Food Service Staff and Bar Staff to join the team. The successful candidates must have weekday availability.
Special Conditions
- Shift patterns to include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and statutory holidays or other holidays
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends.
- Must be available work weekends in December.
- Must be available to work from 26th December 2024 to 1st January 2025.

Key Responsibilities
Seasonal Food Service Staff
- To present a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
- To ensure that all tasks are completed within the allocated time frames, maintaining the standard expected of the hotel.
- Greeting customers, having extensive knowledge of menu’s, taking orders efficiently and presenting them as requested.
- To maximise sales and ensure prompt and accurate billing procedures.
- To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments to ensure effective operation and guest satisfaction.
- To attend all training, meetings, and courses to upskill and refresh food service skills.
- To ensure a high level of cleanliness in your department, public areas and back corridor, adhering to cleaning policies, rotas etc
- Handling any guest queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
- To comply with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.
Seasonal Bar Staff
- To present a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
- To ensure that all tasks are completed within the allocated time frames, maintaining the standard expected of the hotel.
- To ensure the bar is completely stocked at all times.
- Greeting customers, having extensive knowledge of menu’s, taking orders efficiently and presenting them as requested, ensuring accurate measures are used with minimum wastage.
- To maximise sales and ensure prompt and accurate billing procedures.
- To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments to ensure effective operation and guest satisfaction.
- To attend all training, meetings, and courses to upskill and refresh food service skills.
- To ensure a high level of cleanliness in your department, public areas and back corridor, adhering to cleaning policies, rotas etc
- Handling any guest queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
- To comply with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.

Essential Candidate
- The ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality.
- Must be extremely organised, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
- Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Desirable Candidate
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
