You’ll never be stuck for ideas on a day off in Armagh City.

Get your culture fix at the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre, catch a movie at the Omniplex, or enjoy an out of this world experience at the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium.

History and Culture more your thing? Walk Armagh City to discover cathedrals, libraries and museums – or pay a visit to the historic Navan Fort, one of Ireland’s most famous and important archaeological sites, home to the great temple of 95BC.

Outdoor lovers and sporty types can walk the peaceful tree-lined lengths of The Mall, The Palace Demesne or head over to Loughall Country Park for golf, fishing, horse riding, eco trails and playground adventures.

Discovering (or re-discovering) Gosford Park’s 240 acres of diverse woodland and open parkland – snuggled within the drumlin countryside – is another must-do. Take time enjoy the giant adventure trail and cycle trails all located within its woodland. See if you spot the herd of red deer. Look out for the mock-Norman Gosford Castle, too – built by the Second Earl of Gosford in the early 1800s, and recently star of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

Let’s explore.
